ANITA MARIE (SCHULTZ) GILLES

In memory of Anita Marie Gilles.

Anita was born September 7, 1949 and passed away peacefully on June 11, 2021.

Anita was raised in Dodsland, Saskatchewan. As a child, she enjoyed figure skating, climbing, jumping and adventures with her siblings.  After school she took hair dressing at Marvel in Saskatoon.  She met Jerry and they moved to the country where they enjoyed many years on the farm.  When they moved off the farm, Anita became Jerry’s ‘right hand’ in the butcher shop.

Anita was very active in her kids and grandkids lives, attending any and all sports and events that she could.  She loved to garden and go camping with family and friends.  If there was music playing, her toes were tapping and she would take any opportunity to dance.

Anita loved to have a project on the go including house renovations, mechanical upgrades and wood working.  At the same time she would read and do puzzles and brain teasers.

In her later years she took up diamond painting and traveling.  She enjoyed numerous trips with her family and friends.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will always be loved, remembered, missed and forever in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Saskatoon Cancer Center.

The family is hosting a celebration of life at 2pm, Friday July 23, 2021 at the Ruthilda Community Hall. Covid restrictions at the time, if any, will be followed.
