Art Finnell; or GG as he had been affectionately called by the grandchildren; had been battling leukemia for 8 years. He succumbed to the cancer on June 18, 2022 with his family by his side.
Dorothy had lovingly cared for him at home until such time that he required additional medical supports - he passed after a brief stay in hospital.
The family offers our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Williams, the RN’s, Aids and Home Care staff for the wonderful care GG received from each and every one of you.
The visits, food, kind words, floral arrangements and cards are greatly appreciated by us all. A wonderful reflection of the kindness Unity & area exemplifies.
There will be no Service at GG’s request. The family will have a private interment at a future date.
Donations gratefully accepted and will be directed to the Unity Hospital Auxiliary for much needed equipment purchases. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
Art leaves behind the love of his life Dorothy, daughters Joan (Larry) Ballantyne, Cheryl (Harold) Glenn, Sandra (Marvin) Kelly, Sylvia (Vern) Leibel, 12 Grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren who loved him dearly.
He will be greatly missed.
