It is with great sadness that the family of Barry Busch announces his peaceful passing on July 17, 2025, in Landis, Saskatchewan, at the age of 76.
Barry was born on February 12, 1949, in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, to Joseph and Eileen Busch. He built a life rooted in strength, deep loyalty, and love for his family. Barry spent his career working for the railroad, a job that reflected his dependable nature and strong work ethic. After retiring, he continued to enjoy the simple, meaningful moments in life—time with family, a good story, and the steady rhythm of prairie days in Landis, where he made his home.
Barry is survived by his loving wife, Sheila Busch; his children, Scott Busch (Dawn Danderfer) and Twila-Jo Gamache (Claude); and his grandchildren: Tyson Busch (Danielle), Caitlyn Busch (Johnny Clarke), Shelbea, Gavin, and Joleen Gamache. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Owen Busch, Abigail and Xavier Clarke.
He is also lovingly remembered by his siblings: Blair Busch (Wendy), Cheryl DeLaet (Dennis), Darcy Busch (Mary), and Darla Wheeler (Wade); along with many nieces, nephews, and family members too numerous to list here. Barry’s family was the centre of his world.
He will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and the steady presence he brought to the lives of those around him.
A service to celebrate Barry’s life will be held at Landis Community Complex on Friday, September 12th at 2:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend and share in remembering a life well lived.
Coffee and lunch to follow service.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Barry’s memory.
He will be missed dearly and remembered always.
