In Loving Memory of Barry Wayne Massett
With heavy hearts, the family of Barry Massett announces his passing on November 28, 2025, at the age of 67. Barry was born on April 10, 1958, in Lloydminster, SK.
Barry was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Betty Massett, and his brother-in-law, Roger Deslauriers, whom he always remembered fondly.
Barry’s proudest accomplishments were his children and grandchildren. He leaves behind his son Bradley Massett, Brad’s wife Rae-Anne, and their children Walter and Delmer, as well as his daughter Jodi Leibel, her husband Chris, and their children Alyssa and Michael. Barry’s face always lit up when he talked about his children and grandchildren; he was so proud of them, and he loved them dearly.
Barry is also survived by his siblings Janice Massett, Gail Deslauriers, Rodney (Debbie) Massett, and Karen Massett, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Barry spent his early years in Baldwinton, surrounded by the love of family and community, and having a blast with childhood friends on their playground, he remained in Saskatchewan his whole life and had a love for the wide-open prairie,
As a teenager, Barry was an elite athlete, and in later years he became a competitive golfer and accomplished curler. Consistent with his keen interest in sports, he was devoted to both the Maple Leafs, and Blue Jays.
Barry’s entire career was devoted to the farming communities. While he started with Sask. Wheat Pool in his early years, he found himself later in life with Nutrien. Many Farmers knowing him for his years of providing hail insurance. He could often be found out with the local farms lending a hand some way or another. He always enjoyed the conversations and friendly banter with his farming friends and colleagues.
Barry will be fondly remembered for his warm heart, steady presence, dependability, and the quiet strength he brought to his life. He also loved gardening and was proud to share the vegetables he grew. He was an enthusiastic story- teller, and we will never forget his whole-hearted grin and boisterous laughter after engaging in a good ribbing.

A celebration of Barry’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on December 21, 2025, at the Cut Knife Community Center, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and share special moments.
Rest in peace Barry, you will be dearly missed and forever remembered by your friends and family.
