It is with heavy hearts that the family of Beverley Kraft announce her passing on November 27, 2023, at the age of 77 after a courageous battle with cancer. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Lisa (Ray), Darren (Patty), and Cheryl (Dave) as well as her grandchildren Nicole (Kyle), Brandon (Crystal), Steven (Tara), Taylor (Felix), Dylan (Hailey) and Travis.
She grew up on the family farm with her brothers. Beverley married Larry Kraft on May 4, 1966. It was joked that Dad still married her even after that first meeting at her farm, just as she was walking out of the barn.
Bev worked at the Post Office before starting her career at the Paynton Credit Union. She worked her way up and retired as Bank Manger after the merge with Synergy Credit Union.
Even though her career kept her very busy, her love for family and friends came first. There were fun family times at the lake boating and sitting around many campfires. Even though she could not swim, she would sit on the shore to watch her children take swimming lessons.
She loved spending time playing and watching sports. Bev played ball with the Paynton Ladies and spent many weekends heading out to Ladies’ bonspiels. She also enjoyed gardening and you could count on her love of birds to know exactly when the purple martins were on their way back. Bev’s love of nature was evident when she insisted that we send her pictures of deer, moose or geese.
Bev enjoyed spending time out at the Kraft farm during Harvest. She celebrated many birthdays with suppers out in the field.
She is predeceased by her husband Larry, her parents Pius and Elizabeth Hoffinger and her brothers Robert and Elmer.
Forever in Our Hearts!
A Funeral Service for Beverley will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 1:00PM at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Unity, SK. Tributes may be directed to the Canadian Cancer Society.
