Connie Rose (Krchov) Poole Obituary

Connie Rose Poole (Krchov)

Connie was born in Biggar the 3rd of 5 children to Bob and Helen Krchov on July 23rd, 1953.  She was raised on the family farm in the Valley Centre area.

After graduating high school in Rosetown she moved to Saskatoon where she worked for a while at Wescott before attending Marvel Beauty School.  This choice led her to Biggar in 1974 where she began over 40 years in the hairdressing industry.  With Connie’s patience, creativity and great listening skills she was very well respected by every customer that entered her shop.

Connie met her husband, Nelson in Biggar in 1977 and they were married November 24th, 1979.  Their pride and joy and only child Bryan arrived on March 11th, 1985.

Connie enjoyed playing co-ed slo-pitch and travelled to many tournaments around the province with Nelson.  She also enjoyed curling the mixed league with Nelson and even played a bit of golf.

Having the cabin at Aquadeo was Connie’s happy place.  She loved to sit around a campfire with a drink of dark rum and sing with her guitar playing buddy, Newts.  They would sing songs from the 60s for hours with Connie doing the harmonies.  The more they drank the better they sounded … at least in their minds!

One of Connie’s hidden talents was carpenter work.  She was always building something for the house or her cherished back yard.  She would tear apart unused furniture and repurpose it to something useful.  She excelled at this and took immense pride in every project she took on.

Connie is survived by her son Bryan, his wife Lyndsey and her 3 precious grandsons -  Evan, Tyson and Blake whom she absolutely adored.  Also survived by sisters Carol (Ken) Dyok and Judy (Byron) Breitkreitz, brothers Doug (Jackie) and Randy Krchov.  Brother-in-law Don (Judy) Poole and sister-in-law Donna (Ron) Nichols, several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and many friends.

Connie was predeceased by the love of her life, Nelson in October of 2018 and her parents Bob and Helen.

Grandsons, Evan, Tyson and Blake want to say … “Dear Grandma, we are so sad that you are gone but so happy that you get to see Grandpa Nelson in heaven.  We Love You!”

An exceptional daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend.  We will miss you and every one of us are so fortunate to have had you in our lives.
