Daniel Thomas Witter Obituary

Daniel “Watter” Witter — A Life Remembered

Daniel “Watter” Witter, 51, a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unmistakable wit. Known for his piercing, sparkly blue eyes and the way he could lift spirits with his signature sarcasm, Dan was a man impossible to forget.

Dan spent his career as a dedicated transport driver, a job that matched his steady nature and strong work ethic. He took great pride not only in his work, but especially in his many vehicle projects—each one completed with determination and the simple motto he lived by: “I’ll figure it out.”

A fiercely loving family man, Dan was married to the love of his life, Sarah, for nearly ten years. Their bond was marked by the words he always said to her: “My Love, My Life, My Everything, Always and Forever.” He once told her, with that endearing mix of sincerity and humor, “I waited 10 years for you.”

Dan was enormously proud of his children—James (34), Faith (21), Jersie (20), Tyson (13), and Linkin (7). His pride in them was constant and wholehearted. He celebrated their achievements, supported their dreams, and loved them without limit.

He is survived by his parents, Howard and Wendy, who raised a man known for his caring nature and willingness to jump in whenever someone needed help. He also leaves behind his brothers, Dean (Jody) and Brad (Kim), with whom he shared a lifetime of memories, competition, and brotherly humor.

Dan’s personality was one-of-a-kind—competitive in all things, quick with a witty remark, and always ready to lend a hand. Anyone who knew Dan knew that behind the sarcasm was a heart that cared deeply. He was the guy you could count on, the one who made even tough days a little lighter. And in true Dan fashion, he insisted, jokingly, that he did drink water—“coffee has water in it,” after all.

Though not formally tied to community organizations, Dan impacted his community in the most meaningful way possible: through his actions. When someone needed help, he didn’t hesitate. When someone needed a laugh, he delivered. When someone needed support, he was there.

Dan will be so very missed by his family and by everyone fortunate enough to have known him. His humor, his heart, and his unmistakable presence have left a lasting mark. While his loved ones mourn his passing, they also celebrate the beautiful, unforgettable life he lived.

He now joins his grandparents—Jerome and Ada Witter and Harry and Edna Watt—along with his brother-in-law, Thomas, and other dear loved ones who welcomed him home.

A formal funeral will not be held at this time. Instead, Dan wished for a celebration of life to take place in Springwater, SK in August 2026, where all of his family and friends can come together to share memories, laugh, cry, and cherish what meant the most to him—being surrounded by the people he loved.

Forever loved. Forever remembered. Always and Forever.
