David Morris Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family and friends of David announce his passing.

David was the eldest of three sons born to William and Dorothy Morris of the Scott district. David grew up on the farm near Scott with his two brothers doing all sorts of things. David, like many other kids growing up on a farm learned how to run and operate all kinds of machinery at a very young age as well as tending to all sorts of livestock. David took his early schooling in Scott and high school in Wilkie but always had a passion for farming. David was a farmer at heart and began farming with his parents.  He eventually took over the family farm and helped put his last crop in the ground in 2024.
David also liked to go on adventures with his brothers, having helped move one from the east coast back home as well as a trip to Newfoundland and through the states as well as a number of BC camping trips.
David loved to be involved with the community.  He was a member of the Wilkie Kinsmen club and later on the K40’s. He dedicated his time faithfully to the clubs over the years and pretty sure he never missed a meeting or local event.  For this dedication he was awarded a life membership in the Kinsmen. In winter times David enjoyed curling at the local rinks and in the later years he took on the task of running the curling club bar. He was also known in the neighborhood to the younger kids as Mr. Plow as he was the snow plow operator for the local snow plow club. He spent many of hours in his Case 1070 and Schulte blower clearing roads and cleaning out yards.
Anyone who knew David would say that he was the kindest, soft spoken gentleman around.
