Dinah went to Elwell School in a one room class room from grades 1-10. High school was in Arelee.  They walked across a field and pasture 2 miles in the spring and fall . Then in the winter they rode in a horse drawn sleigh which was 3 miles one way, that is if the horse didn’t run away! Her mom would warm a rock in the stove to wrap around the kids feet to keep warm on the way.  After school Dinah worked at Saskatchewan Government Telephones as an operator in Saskatoon and then transferred to Biggar where her sister Nettie was working.  This is where Dinah met Wilf and they were married.  After Dinah was done raising her family she went to work at Sask Liquor board store.

Dinah had many hobbies but some favourites were gardening,  bowling, carpet bowling, baking, volunteering at New Horizons & United Church and knitting many sweaters and sewing blankets for her grand children.
