Dona Mae Kinchen, age 84, passed away peacefully in her sleep May16, 2022, in Biggar + District Health Centre, Biggar Sk.
Dona was predeceased by her husband of 62 years Floyd, her parents and two infant brothers. Dona is survived by her siblings Brenda (Norm), Patricia, Rhonda, Tim, her nephews, Jeff (Diane) Chris (Jeannette), and great nephew Chase.
Dona was born in Vanguard Sk. to Orlan and Anne Erickson, the first of seven children. Raised in Weyburn Sk., and graduated from Weyburn Collegiate Institute in 1956. Next, Dona entered Moose Jaw Union Hospital School of Nursing and graduated as a Registered Nurse May 4 1960. Later that summer she married Floyd Kinchen and started her nursing career in Moose Jaw Sk. She worked briefly in Moosomin Sk., and the rest of her nursing career in Vancouver BC.
Dona will be remembered for her big heart, her generosity, her love of Crafting, and sailing the BC coastline with Floyd.
