Donna was born in Unity, SK on May 19, 1965 to Helen (Warnock) and Donald Davisson.
Donna grew up on a farm north of Unity with her 7 living siblings. She went to school in Unity
and graduated in 1983. She met the love of her life, Alan in 1985. They later married in
Cheyenne, Wyoming on July 28, 1989. Alan and Donna welcomed their first son Cody on April
2, 1991. March 1, 1993 they welcomed their second son Dillon. November 16, 1995 they
welcomed their daughter Robin. And on their 14th wedding anniversary welcomed their third
son, Austin. Together they raised their children in Unity, SK.
Donna worked in the Unimac and later followed out her career in Unity Long Term Care for 30+
years. Here she built friendships that would last a lifetime. Her nurturing nature never went
unnoticed in her career or home life. Donna had a passion for caring for others, and selflessly
put others before herself. Donna always had time to be a wife, mother and grandmother before
all else. She welcomed all into her home with fresh baking and motherly love. She famously
measured chocolate chips with her heart and filled her home with baked bread and buns.
Most proudly of all Mom cherished her grandchildren with such love and grace. Her little girls
were her everything and they have been blessed with Mom as their Grandma. Her patience and
pride were astounding with her grandbabies. She constructed many crafts, sewed many loved
filled garments, sang “You are my Sunshine” many times, gave kissing hands and even had a
special code to say “I love you” to her granddaughters.
In 2013 Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, and for ten years she fought and suffered
tremendously. She never let cancer become her focus. Through her battle she continued to put
her family first, seeing her two eldest sons marry, and becoming a Grandmother, creating ten
more years of beautiful memories. On July 21, 2023 Donna passed peacefully surrounded by
her husband and children at 58 years of age.
Donna will be lovingly remembered by her husband of nearly 34 years, Alan; their children and
grandchildren Cody (Kelsey), Mckenna, Dallas, Kylie, Dillon (Mickayla), Montana, Robin,
(Chris), Kaysen and Austin, Jeremy (Brenda), Kirsten (Hudsyn), Corbyn, Jamie (David), Colin,
(Andrea), Aria, Brie; Siblings Dorothy, Barry (Chris), Gary, Cathy, Holly (Don), Glenda, Ray
(Anne); In-Laws, Gladys (Robert), Gordon, Sharon (Grant), Marlene (Rod); and numerous
nieces and nephews.
Donna was predeceased by her parents, Helen and Don Davisson; sister, Colleen; Mother &
Father In-Law, Joan and Frank Belliveau.
Donna’s family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Iqbal of the Saskatoon Cancer Center
and the Unity Healthcare staff.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 31, 2023 at 2:00 pm at St. Peters Roman
Catholic Church in Unity, SK.

Society of Canada & Saskatoon Oncology at RUH.
