Frank Joseph Miller Obituary

With broken hearts we announce the passing of Frank Joseph Miller on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. Left to cherish his memory is Benny, his wife of 64 years, children Loran Miller, Sandra (Robert) Blom, and Duane (Cheryl) Miller, and grandchildren Justin and Steven Miller and Sarah, Amy, Jonathan, and Kayla Blom. Also mourning his death are his brother Adam, his sister Ann and sister-in-laws Ida and Bertha.

We know that Frank is welcomed by those he loved and lost, daughter Nadine; parents Gabriel and Anna Miller; brothers Jacob and John; sisters Betty, Catherine, Josephine, and Dorothy.

In the truest sense Frank was a lifelong learner and educator. He entered Teachers' College in 1959 and spent most of his career teaching in Unity at St. Peter's School. For Frank teaching was not a job but a way of life. He poured his heart and soul into the St. Peter's school community and through his dedication he touched countless lives and served as a role model for many staff and students.

Not only did he serve the school community, but he lived a life of service through the Knights of Columbus, accepting various local and provincial leadership positions. He was active in many projects around Unity and selflessly gave time and energy to many causes.

Frank was extremely proud of his German rural Saskatchewan roots. He was born on July 21, 1935 in the Macklin hospital. While growing up on the farm, like so many people of this era, he was imbued with resourcefulness, innovation, and a common sense, problem-solving mindset. His family benefitted from his skillset in innumerable ways.

In his late retirement years, Frank's pride and joy was his yard and garden. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He persevered through the loss of sight in one eye and lived life to the fullest. We mourn his loss and deeply cherish his memory.

A Live Stream will be included from our Gerein Funeral Service Facebook page.  https://www.facebook.com/gfs2019/
