HELEN MARGUERITE (FRUHSTUK) GERMAN

Helen German
January’s 11, 1933 to December 12, 2020
Helen passed away, after a brief illness, with family at her side on Saturday December 12, 2020
at Wilkie Saskatchewan. She was 87.

Helen was born and grew up at Handel, Sask. and attended school there. After graduating
grade 12, she worked at several different jobs. She held a a position at Wilkie hospital and did
housekeeping for several families.
In 1958, Helen married Richard Budd and they had 3 children. Larry, Dolores and Sandy.
For the first 6 years of their marriage they lived in several different towns in Alberta as Richard
worked on the oil rigs.

In 1964 they settled on the Budd family farm at Tramping Lake until Richard’s passing.
Helen then moved back to Handel to live on the family farm with her brother Steve.
She married Tony German in 1970. They lived on Tony’s family farm at Luseland until
moving into town in 1985. They enjoyed their small town retirement. Mom kept busy with
gardening, visiting the elderly, and being an active member at the pioneer club and church. She
especially loved looking after her grandchildren and cooking and baking for everyone. Visitors
always enjoyed baking fresh from her oven. In 2013, they moved to Unity.

Helen is survived by her children Larry (Noreen) Budd, Dolores (Ray) Leier, Sandy (Jeff)
Levy; grandchildren Colin (Katie) Budd, Brennan Budd (Laura), Joel (Brittany) Budd, Kristel
Leier, Cory Leier, Chelsea (Paul) Leier, Ashlee and Tayler Levy; Great-grandchildren Dane,
Olivia, Kylee and Jagar, and Paxton; sister Mary and brother Joe and many nieces and nephews.

Helen was predeceased by her parents Anna and Joseph Fruhstuk; husbands Richard and Tony;
brothers Steve and John; sisters Elizabeth and Theresa.

At Helen’s request a private family service will be held at a later date.
