Joan is survived by her loving husband Trevor of 51 years; daughter, Michele Joy and family Chelsey (Richard) Abraham and their children Kael & Kenley; Ashley (Brett) Sparks and their children Sawyer & Ryker; Courtney Joy (Kurt Bunker) and son Maddox; son, Tyler (Crystal) Hoare and family Braxton, Colton, Reyne; siblings, Glenn (Wendy) Smith, Jeneane (Peter) Boser, Brent (Tracy) Smith; sister-in-law, Yvonne Flora (Bruce); several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Joan was predeceased by her parents, Robson & Ruby Smith.
