Obituary

Judith Ann Burnside (Myketiak) - Oct 7 1951 - March 14 2020 of Unity, Sask and formerly of Moose Jaw and Chaplin District passed away peacefully on Saturday March 14, 2020 surrounded by her family. Judy attended Rolling Prairie and Chaplin Schools, and after graduating from Chaplin High School she worked for credit unions in Moose Jaw and Calgary. It was in Moose Jaw , working at the credit union, that she met her partner Peter Martin. Together they moved to Unity, where they had their son Scott and made their life together. Family and friendship bonds were so important to Judy, and the time she spent with her loved ones was paramount. Judy is predeceased by her parents Margaret (2015) and Elgin (2010). She leaves to grieve her loving partner of 41 years Peter, their son Scott (Maranda) of Moose Jaw, step daughters Heather (Kevin) and Twyla (Corwin) as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and extended family members. She is also survived by her brothers Bill (Ellen) Myketiak and Wesley Myketiak of Chaplin, sister-in-law Brenda Strutt (Milas) of Winnipeg, brother in law Mike (Kathy) of Brandon. A memorial will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy donations can be made in Judy's name to the ALS Society of Saskatchewan.
