John Jerome Neigum

It is with our deepest sorrow we announce the sudden passing of John Neigum on January 2, 2023, at the age of 67, in the RUH at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

John was born on March 27, 1955, at the “Farm Out West”, and grew up on the family farm just south of Unity. He attended St. Peter’s school up to grade 6, then on to Unity Composite High School. He completed grade 10 and then quit school to help his dad on the farm. A short time after that he started working for Ben Knorr’s Plumbing & Heating where he started his courses to become an apprentice plumber. He achieved his Journeyman Plumbing Ticket in 1976. Soon after, he became part of the Heitt’s Plumbing and Heating team, whereby he ventured out to start his own business in June 1987, John Neigum’s Plumbing and Heating.  John continued to help his dad farm for many years, from a little boy to eventually taking over the family farm after his dad’s passing.

John loved the Blue Jays, the Oilers, the Roughriders and attended many games. He enjoyed curling, and went on many road trips with special friends, and had acquired quite the hat collection.

John is survived by his son Jonathan Neigum (Jordon); Sisters Zelpha (Neil) Rolph and family: Nadine Rolph and family; Owen (Hollie) Rolph and family; Tasha Piché and family; Ryan (Kendal) Rolph and family; Linda (Don) Volk and family: Elisa (Chad) Bast and family, Christa (Corie) Volk, Tanya (Michael) Johnson and family, Trena Volk (Stevin Van Nest) and family; Elna Strain; and Elaine (Dave) Fox. John is also survived by two aunts, Francis Langen and Helen Johnson and special Uncle Gordon Neigum; several extended family members and close friends. John is predeceased by his parents Frederick and Elizabeth Neigum, grandparents John and Saloma Neigum, brother in law Norm Strain and several aunts, uncles, extended family members & friends.

John will be lovingly remembered and missed by all.
