With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jack Nelson on Sept. 24th at the age of 90.
Jack was a devoted husband, a proud father, grandfather and great grandfather and a lifelong farmer whose strength and perseverance helped shape the land he loved. A true pioneer in both spirit and work, he built a life rooted in family, community, and hard work.
Born on May 16,1935 to Agnes and Robert John Nelson.
Jack worked at his father’s car dealership “Wilkie Motors” for several years. His dad bought a farm and Jack started his career in farming. He started working at the UGG and continued working the farm long after retiring from the UGG.
Committed to his community, Jack served on numerous volunteer groups; Kinsmen, K-40s and volunteer fire fighter. He also had a love for travelling and curling with his buds!!!
Jack loved a good visit. He took a genuine interest in people, enjoyed sharing stories, and never passed up a chance for a thoughtful conversation—or a good laugh.
He was the kind of man who believed in doing what was right, not what was easy. His first love was his family, extended family and great friends.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Donna of 66 years;
Sons; Bob(Darlene) Trevor (Lucy),
Daughters; (+Jacqueline) Donna Lynn (Don), Kathy (Ray), Janice (Ted).
