Kenneth Arden McKay was born on May 13, 1938 in Biggar, Sask. to James A. and Helen McKay. He grew up on the family farm north west of Biggar and attended Curthshill School with his sisters and brothers. He worked on farms driving tractors and helping with the animals. He loved Western music, television, baseball and going fishing with family and friends. He was proud to have his own car and later a red truck. Ken moved to Biggar and District Health Center in February, 2022. He appreciated his time there and all the kindness of the staff. He enjoyed visits from Annette McKay bringing treats, pictures and a special belt buckle. Ken was predeceased by his parents and his sisters and brothers. Esther (Hubert) Singer, Norma (Stuart) Warren, Jim McKay, Bob McKay, Shirley (Bernie) Taylor, and Faye Moon. He is survived by brother-in-law, Bill Moon, Perdue; sisters in law, Annette McKay, Biggar and Joan McIntyre, Vernon BC, also many nieces and nephews. Ken passed away on August 9, 2023 and will be missed by all who knew him. Arrangements entrusted to Gerein Funeral Service.
