Leonard Douglas McCubbing

Leonard passed away peacefully at home at the age of 77 in Unity, SK.  Leonard is survived by daughters Heather (Brian) Acton, Hayter, AB;  Carol (Wes) Cairns, Harris, SK; Mary McCubbing (Dwaine Shirtliffe), Meadow Lake, SK. His grandchildren Jeremy Acton, Jordan (Anya) Acton, Garrett (Kailey) Acton, Shaun (Erin) Cairns, Sharlene Cairns, Kala (Garret) Smith, Amy Rowland (Quinn Lafond), Jason Rowland and 5 great grandchildren, Kinley, Cooper, Kaci Cairns, Axel Acton and Nora Smith.  Also survived by brothers Bill (Pat) McCubbing, Bob (Faye) McCubbing, Ed (Shirley) McCubbing and sisters, Lucy Sword and Shirley McIsaac 
He was predeceased by his wife, Joan, his mother and father, Victoria and Jock McCubbing, brothers in law Raymond McIsaac and Norman Sword, brother, Donny McCubbing and great grandson, Jackson Acton.
Leonard was born on February 14, 1944 in Unity, SK.  In 1963 Leonard married Joan Bowles his high school sweetheart and raised their 3 girls on the family dairy farm.  Upon retirement they moved into Unity.  Leonard enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping and was an avid sports fan.  He was young at heart, always laughing and joking with everyone he met.
