Linda Schneider Obituary

Linda Mae Schneider (nee Butler)
February 4, 1963 – September 11, 2021

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend; Linda Mae Schneider on September 11, 2021.

Linda was born February 4, 1963 at Saskatoon City Hospital.  She grew up on a mixed farm outside of Saskatoon.  In 1981, Linda graduated from Clavet Composite School.  That fall, Linda moved to Swan Hills, Alberta to work in the oilfield industry.  It was there that she met the love of her life Stan (Pete) Schneider.  They were married on June 29, 1984 and they farmed on the family farm near Scott, SK.  For the first few years they farmed during the summer months and continued to work in the oilfield until they started a family of their own.  Linda’s pride and joy was her four girls.  The girls helped with the operation of their farm and managed a variety of family businesses together with pride.  Linda had a passion with the farm and everything she did.  She had many talents and hobbies including leather work, quilting, and history.  Linda was always the first to fire up her kitchen and get casseroles ready, baking, and preserves prepared when needed.  She was happiest in her home when cooking and looking after her family. Linda loved her family and her community.

Linda will be remembered with love by her mother, Betty Butler; husband, Stan, and daughters:  Jennifer and her children Aurora and Orion, Jessica (Geoff) Raycraft and their sons Alvin and Frederick, Jenise, and Kristina (Thomas-John) King; brother Gord (Karen) Butler, sister Michelle (Ron) Richards and their daughter Addison as well as numerous extended family members, friends and neighbors.

She was predeceased by her father Howard Butler, mother and father- in-law Alvin and Jenny Schneider and brother Joe Butler.

At Linda’s request there will not be a funeral.  A family interment will take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made in her honour to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan or the Wilkie United Church.
