MICHALINA "MAE" (PYLYPIW) CHORNEYKO
Family is sad to announce the passing of Mae Chorneyko, (80 years old) at the Biggar & District Health Care Centre Long Term Care Home on November 15th, 2020.
Mae was born in Pulp River, Manitoba on September 9th, 1940. She married Michael Chorneyko on July 17th, 1959. They resided in Dauphin, Manitoba before heading west to Biggar, Saskatchewan in 1973 to raise their family. Mae worked at the Biggar Union Hospital until retirement in 1995. She loved her flower and vegetable gardens.
Mae is survived by; her sons, Wayne, Dwight, Brent (Michelle); daughters, Lisa (Ken), Karen (Warren); grandsons, Tyler, Michael, Corey, Alex, Jonathan, Calvin, Cody; granddaughters, Lindsay (Tyson), Kailee, Ashlee, Alyssa, Shae-Lynne, Rachelle, Santaya; great granddaughter, Rylee; sisters, Helen, Alice; step-brothers, Ed, John, Joe, Marcel; step-sisters, Sonia, Natalie; many nieces & nephews and extended family.
Mae was predeceased by; her husband, Michael Chorneyko (2008); granddaughter, Tanya; brother Alvin; sister, Emily; step-brother, Clifford; father, John Pylypiw; mother, Sabina (nee Soshycki); stepfather, Wasyl Soloway.
Thank you to Shannon and staff at Sunshine family care home, Dr Muller and staff at Biggar & District Health Centre for caring for Mae the last 3 years.
There will be no service at this time.
