Madeline (Madge) Catherine Little

Madge was born February 19, 1924 in Teutopolis, Illinois USA to Lawrence and Philomena Koester. She had 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Her family was raised in Eston, Saskatchewan. She spent her early days going to school in a horse and buggy or sleigh and helped out on the family farm. She attended nursing school at St. Paul’s in Saskatoon. She married Rex Little. They met at a dance at the Oxborough Hall just north of Biggar. They were married in Biggar on October 20, 1948. They had 6 children and later to arrive were 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Madge worked as a Registered nurse part time, a stay-at-home mom and housewife. In her retirement she travelled to the USA and Canada to visit her family. She also liked spending time at the lake. Madge enjoyed gardening, bowling, bingo, rummoli, watching curling, doing puzzles and crocheting. She came to the lodge in December 2016. She liked activities and enjoyed her family visits. Madge passed away at the age of 97. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
