Magdalena Mary Vetter

On behalf of the Vetter family, we announce the peaceful passing of Magdalena Mary (Heisler) Vetter. Magdalena passed away at Parkview Place in Unity, SK on May 26, 2023, at the age of 96 years.

Magdalena was born on October 7, 1926 to her parents, Jacob and Helen Heisler.  On November 3, 1948, she married Adam Vetter. Together they raised a family and spent their many years together at their home on the outskirts of Denzil, SK.

She will be forever missed by her children: Mary (†), Dennis (Margaret Robin), Richard (Bonnie Brown (†)), Judy (Bill Krips), Ted (Eunice Smith), Loreen (Terry Gartner), along with her 14 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

With her quiet demeanor and gentle heart, Madeline was a selfless mother and always put other people first. Although she was soft spoken, she was also a very social lady. She had many friends in Denzil, Macklin, and most recently, Unity. Baking, knitting, gardening, and bowling were some of the activities that she loved to do. Playing cards and doing puzzles were her favorite pastimes in later years.

Magdalena was predeceased by her husband Adam (1980), her daughter, Mary, her daughter-in-law, Bonnie, 7 brothers and sisters, as well as her parents. She leaves behind her brother, Pat, sister, Clara, as well as numerous relatives and friends. The Funeral Mass for Magdalena will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 10:30AM at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Denzil, SK.

Tributes for Magdalena may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society.
