Margaret was born on June 14, 1937, to Carl and Margaret McKennitt. She grew up in Winnipeg, MB., where she married Andrew Lindsay, together they had 5 children, and along came many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Margaret worked as a cashier at Safeway and an Avon Lady. She was also a foster parent to over 35 children. Her hobbies included reading, knitting and crocheting. She played on women’s baseball teams in Ontario, enjoyed hockey with her boys, and would always join in games outside with all the kids in the neighborhood. She also did well in water skiing.
Margaret was admitted to Biggar and District Health Centre on November 6, 2017, and passed away on May 16, 2026. She will be deeply missed by family, friends and all who knew her.
Margaret will be remembered by her Sons, Scott (Deb) Lindsay and Don (Robbi) Lindsay, Daughter Cindy (Lloyd) Senger, her Son-in-Law Ken Bourgeois, numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Her Brother Bill McKennitt (Hazel) and Sister Sharon Nugent.
Margaret is predeceased by her husband Andrew Walter Lindsay (2010), Daughter Autumn Lindsay of Thunder Bay, Ont., and daughter Margaret Ann Bourgeios of Biggar, Sk., as well as two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Margaret was a warm and loving grandmother, great grandmother, mother, sister and she will be greatly missed.
