Margaret (Trautman) Vetter

Margaret (Trautman) Vetter passed away peacefully at Oliver Lodge in Saskatoon, SK on October 1, 2021, at the age of 91, with her loving daughters by her side. She was predeceased by her husband Nick (2012), her daughter Corinne Brown (2020), her parents Vincent and Frances (Uzelman) Trautman, and her sisters Frances (Trautman) Schmidt and Barbara Trautman, and several half-brothers and -sisters.  

Margaret was born on June 11, 1930 and grew up on a farm near Revenue, SK, she was the youngest of 4 children and 13 half brothers and sisters. Margaret worked at the hospitals in Unity, North Battleford, and Wilkie as a nurses’ aide, especially liking the maternity ward. She met her soul mate Nick while at a dance in St. John’s. They later married and settled in the Reward area where they raised their family and loved farming for over 40 years. Margaret had a great sense of humor, she was fun loving, energetic, and devoted to her family. She enjoyed dancing, singing and yodeling, playing the guitar, Omni chord, and piano, playing cards, travelling, gardening, cooking, baking, sewing, telling stories, and so much more. More than anything, Margaret loved family time together, dancing with her favourite dance-partner Nick, and socializing with friends.

Mom will live forever in our hearts as we treasure so many wonderful memories - as your children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, the best of us is because of you. Dear and Precious Mom, we lay you to rest today - but will go on from here uplifted, inspired, and always so very grateful for being a part of you.
