Mary Jessie (Dwyer) Hoben

In Loving Memory of Jessie Mary Hoben May 12, 1946 – August 22, 2026.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jessie Mary Hoben, who passed away peacefully on August 22, 2026, at the age of 80. Jessie will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her daughter, Colleen (Colin) Patey of Lloydminster, Saskatchewan; her sons, Clyde (Denise) Hoben of Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan, and Corey (Kathleen) Hoben of Wabush, Newfoundland and Labrador. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Cole Patey of Halifax, Nova Scotia; Aurora Hoben Hunt of Newfoundland; and Jordynn Hoben of North Battleford, Saskatchewan. Jessie will also be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Claudette (Geno) Dwyer and Isabel (Shawn) Thomas, both of Newfoundland; her brother, Mike Dwyer of Newfoundland; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Clyde, in 2021; her parents, Nicholas and Mary; her sister, Florida Morin; and her brothers, George (Jody), Nick, and Eugene.

Jessie’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for the love she gave to her family and the special place she held in the lives of those around her.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Newfoundland at a later date.
