Ron Koenig passed away on December 25, 2024 in Unity, SK. Ron is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Lucy; sons Michael (Laura) and family Ryan (Savanah Fischer)and Levi; Derrick (Cara) and family Jaidyn, Rowan and Sam; Tracy (Laurie) and family Linden (Ashley Kerstens), Jaxson (Kali Johnson) and Miley; Darcy; sister Deanna (Willard) Wiley; brother Larry Koenig; brothers-in-law Augustine (Micheline) Meier, James (Alma) Meier; Ed Behnke; sisters-in-law Sr. Leona Meier, Rose (John) Lang Froese, Loretta Wiseman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Pius Koenig in 2012, Margaret Koenig in 2013;  parents-in law Rose Meier in 2009 and Leo Meier in 1980; daughter-in-law Janet Koenig in 2002; brothers-in-law Bernie Lang in 2000, Bill Wiseman in 2018, Lawrence Meier in 2018 and Peter Greenwald in 1987; sisters-in-law Ann Greenwald in 1984 and Pauline Behnke in 2013.

A Funeral Service for Ron will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at 11:00AM at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Unity, SK. Tributes may be directed to The Saskatchewan Knights of Columbus Charitable Foundation.
