Ronald Douglas Love

Ronald Love died in Wilkie, Saskatchewan, on Jan. 5, 2022 at the age of 91.  He will be missed by his children Alison (Guy) Sander, Alan (Alana) Love, Greg (Bonnie) Love and Jerry Harder; his 12 grand children, 2 great grandchildren, his sister Beverly, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.

He grew up in the 1930s and 40s on the family farm, marrying Freda Norrish in 1967, where they worked, incorporating the family grain farm into Love Family Farms, and raised their family until retiring.

Not a man to be without a project, he enjoyed various hobbies throughout his life including leatherwork, photography, flying, restoring vintage International vehicles, road trips and home renovations.  In his last years you could always find him walking the sidewalks of Wilkie.

He was generous with his time volunteering in his younger years, including the 1980s renovation of Wilkie Poplar Courts, which is where he spent his last days.  Donations may be made there in his memory.

The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Poplar Courts and the Wilkie Health District for their care over the past months.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gerein Funeral Service and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
