Rose Agnes (Vodarek) Boudy-Oesch
1936 - 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rose Boudy-Oesch in Wilkie, Saskatchewan, on Monday, January 13, 2025, with family by her side, at the age of 88. She was a wonderful, loving, caring, and respected woman—a beautiful wife, mother, sister, aunt, granny, and friend.

Rose lived her entire life on the farm, raising her family, doing chores, gardening, reading, crafting, and baking. She was an active community member, involved with the Royal Purple, Elks, and UCW. With her love for children, she also taught Sunday school and Explorers. Her door was always open, with a pot of coffee ready to share and a spot at the table for visits or games. Mom enriched the lives of everyone she came into contact with and will be deeply missed.

Rose is survived by: her daughter-in-law, Colleen Boudy (Brian Cheney); her daughter, Rita (Bob) Salmen; granddaughters, Ashley, Amanda (Devan Romano), great-granddaughter Kylee Romano, and Amy; her son, William “Jo” Boudy; granddaughter Faith; her daughter, Barbara (David) Glackin; granddaughter Katrina (Chance Hooper), grandson Jamie (Ashton) Glackin; her brother, Henry “Hank” (Gail) Vodarek; her nephews, Troy (Kristine) Vodarek, Jacob and Evan; Shawn (Cindy) Vodarek, Drayson, Cooper, and Cohen; and many extended family members from the Oesch family.

Rose was predeceased by: her father, John Vodarek; her mother, Veronica Vodarek; her husband, Edward Boudy (1956-1986); her son, Richard “Rick” Boudy; her husband, William “Bill” Oesch (1992-2020); and her sister-in-law, Sharon Vodarek.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
