After a courageous battle with cancer, Russel passed away at the age of 75.


Russel lived his entire life in the Unity area, working at the salt plant and ranching cattle and horses.  His passions were hunting , fishing, keeping horses and attending rodeos.


Russel was predeceased by his mother Vera, father Jim; and siblings Sandra and Kathy.


He is survived by siblings Dale; Roy (Rose), children Doug (Tara), Lucy (Brent), Murray (Tina), Cory (Laura) and Ashley (Gary); grandchildren, Steven, Amanda, Jessica, Kayla, Noel, Joshua, Lucas, Carter, Ethan, Madison, Keira and Nathan.


A private gathering will be held in the summer (date undetermined) for family and close friends. Arrangements entrusted to Gerein Funeral Service.
