It is with heavy hearts that the family of Shasta Richelle Caissie announced her passing on July 10, 2025 at St. Paul's Hospital at the age of 43 years old.

She leaves to mourn her loving family, her best friend her dog Chewy, her mother Rhoda Trotchie, sister Shelsey Irwin, nephew Ryker, brother Matthew Irwin, Grandmother Margaret Trotchie, Uncle Wendell Trotchie (April) Cousin Kendall (Barry) Andee and Lyncoln; Cousin Kyle (Sara) Raphael and Stetson; Auntie Corrie (Ed Colbert); Uncle Vergil  Cousin Ashley her children Farrah, Spencer, Nate, and Josie; and Cousins Eric and Eastan. Shasta was pre-deceased by her Grandfather, James Trotchie. 

Shasta was born and raised in Biggar. From about 5 years old Shasta lived with her Gramma Margaret until she was 14, then she lived with her mother, sister and brother. Just before Shasta graduated she got her own place and  Shelsey rembers Shasta making it special when Shelsey went to visit. In her high school years Shasta met someone special, Jason Caissie.  They moved to Saskatoon after graduation.  Shasta went to C.D.I. college and got her Office Administration Certificate.   She worked a few places, then ended up working for Coverall( now called Norsman Structures) as a Production Planner.

Jason was working at Coverall, then Shasta got a job there. While they worked there, they got married but unfortunately, they decided to go their separate ways. Up until her passing, they remained good friends. 

Shasta had her struggles and was overcoming them. She was always there to give someone some sort of encouragement to seek help, especially for mental issues.  She was always so helpful to everyone.  She would be the first one to be forgiving.  She was kind, loving, funny, and had many attributes. Her family will miss her dearly.

A Viewing will take place on Tuesday July 15th, 2025 from 1:00pm - 3:00pm in the Chapel located in Gerein Funeral Services at 118 2nd Avenue East.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday July 18th, 2025 at 2:00pm at the Biggar Community Town Hall, Biggar Saskatchewan.
