We are devastated to announce the sudden passing of Sophie Miranda Gurel. Born in Saskatoon, Sk. on April 2, 2015, Sophie’s Mom and Dad were by her side when she crossed the rainbow on June 13, 2024, undoubtedly riding a unicorn.
She lived all of her moments to the fullest, sprinkling kindness like fairy dust and unabashedly spreading joy.
Sophie is lovingly remembered by her parents Katarina Knezevic and Ben Gurel; Grandparents Ljiljana and Josip Knezevic, Debbie Nainaar, and Fred (Sherrie) Gurel; Uncles Vedran Knezevic (Kelsey) and Michael Gurel (Tasha); Auntie Miranda Hector (Aaron); First Cousins Ava and Autumn, Aurora and Oliver and Grace and Claire; Great Grandmother Baba Jaca (Stanislava)
A Public Viewing will be held Monday, June 17, 2024 at Gerein Funeral Service (118 2nd Avenue East, Biggar) from 4:00PM - 5:00PM
A Celebration of Life for Sophie will be held at the Biggar Community Hall (319 - 1st Ave) on Tuesday, June 18th at 10:30AM. In her honour we ask all those attending to leave your dark clothes at home and wear rainbow colours. Bright and beautiful, just like Sophie.
