Tank (Wayne) Meger Obituary

We are sad to announce that Tank passed away February 17, 2022 after a long hospital stay and failing health.  Tank was born June 5, 1945 in Biggar, Saskatchewan.  He was the fifth child of Emmanuel and Clara Meger.  Tank never married, but was looked up to by many.  He worked as a labourer and later worked at Nodwell’s farm and later at Crozier’s farm.  They all treated him as one of their family.  He enjoyed fishing and hanging out with his brothers.  When he retired, he helped out at the Legion making his famous potato salad for all of their functions.  He was custodian of the Legion for a number of years.  He enjoyed life and hanging out with his friends and a good party.  Tank will be missed by his sisters, Iris Weatherly, Betty (George Gamble) and brother Walter (Darlene), sister-in-law Val.  His nieces and nephews:  Tom (Deb) Weatherly, Gail (Jules Gratton), Carman Meger, Trent (Susan) Meger, Danielle Meger, Derek Meger (Rachel), Jane (James Custer) and many great nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents Emmanuel and Clara, sister Annie Cornelson, brothers Clifford and Wilfred.
